The APM 3DLevelScanner provides an innovative measurement method that takes the guesswork out of measuring the level, volume and mass of materials inside a silo or open bin by generating 3D maps of the contents. These unique devices enable an unrivalled degree of process level measurement and inventory control.

Unlike some other non-contact level monitors, the 3DLevelScanner does not rely on a single measuring point but maps the entire top surface of the material. It is unaffected by irregular piling angles, dust and noise.

Using a 2-dimensional array beam-former to transmit low frequency pulses and receive echoes of the pulses, the device's patented Digital Signal Processor samples and analyzes the received signals. The processor then generates a 3D image of the material surface and, using the known dimensions of the silo or bin, calculates the volume of the contents with unrivalled precision.

The APM 3DLinkPro provides a state-of-the-art wireless communications with all APM products using GSM technology to permit system configuration, remote analysis and diagnostics, as well as software upgrades.
